  • About the Ensemble

The USD Choral Scholars is the premiere choral ensemble at the University of San Diego. The Choral Scholars is mixed vocal ensemble of academically driven undergraduate students with exceptional vocal ability. Under the direction of Dr. Emilie Amrein, the Choral Scholars maintain a robust rehearsal and performance schedule, often appearing at university and community functions, performance tours and university concerts.

Membership in the University of San Diego Choral Scholars is contingent upon an audition and interview each year. Eligible music majors and minors are granted an academic scholarship for participating in the ensemble. Prospective high school students should contact Dr. Amrein for further information about scholarship funding, as well as the audition and interview process.
